Everyone knows that what we eat and drink make up the building blocks for our biological selves and that the food/drink quality defines the health of our molecules, cells, organs, muscles, etc. So why is dietary and nutritional theory so complex? The answer to this lies in bio-individuality, we are complex beings and there are no two alike. Just like in training for any sport, knowing the fundamentals of nutrition is as essential as knowing our own biological needs, responses, and limits for different foods.
This four-module online course will comprehensively cover four important topics in nutrition (quality foods, healthy fats, food for athletic performance and the microbiome). The latest scientific studies have been used to present each topic in a fun but “sciency” way. In each module, what you learn will empower you to explore and evolve your relationship with food through your own personal food projects. No matter where you are on your journey, whether you are a fit athlete or a sedentary overweight office worker, this course is for you! There is always a better version of yourself. Count on me as your instructor for any questions or support by e-mail and most importantly, enjoy the process!
With a long-term research background, a PhD in biology/genetics (Toronto, Canada) and a health coach certificate (New York), I have a wide knowledge of nutrition as the building blocks of our bodies and brains and its effects on physical and mental health. I believe that knowledge is power, and by giving you the science behind food I hope to inspire you to learn and explore your bio-individuality and to get your food plan in place.
